Welcome to the newly launched, Octopress powered, nerd-approved Mild-Mannered Canadian Fury! If you’re an old fan from Tumblr, then please accept my most sincere thanks for sticking around. If you’re new here, then I can only hope you’ll be stopping by more often as time goes on.

Let’s get caught up:

I’ve Declared Blog Bankruptcy

Originally, I had planned on migrating a bunch of my old posts over from Tumblr. I’ve decided not to do this; the only posts that I’ve brought over are my first two posts on coffee, because those are part of an ongoing series. Everything else is still available on my old Tumblr, which will stay up and running. But this blog is going to be all new and all improved.

Engaging With You

This blog will not feature comments. The argument about whether or not a proper blog should feature comments is up for debate, but the long and short of it is that this blog will not be using them. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to hear from you, whether about an article or just for shits and giggles. Hit up the contact page and say howdy.

Moving Forward

One of my goals with this shift in my blogging environment is to encourage me to focus on more content of consequence and less on silly cat pictures and YouTube videos. If you want that, you can stil find it on my Tumblr. But most of my link log and my original content is now going to live here. My Tumblr will link back to this blog when I make new posts, and an RSS feed is available for the site if you click on the button up in the top by the search field. If you’re here from Tumblr and you were subsribed to my old RSS feed, you won’t need to make any changes; the feed is still getting served up by Feedburner so the canonical URL to my subscriptions hasn’t gone anywhere.

And Last But Not Least!

Please, please, please don’t hesitate to let me know if you find something wrong with the blog. Especially really hairy stuff like 404’s. I’ve mucked around in the guts of the engine a great deal, and I don’t know crap about Jekyll or Ruby, so I know that some of the paths got messed up for a little bit. They should all be fixed, but do let me know if you see anything strange while you’re browsing.
