9to5Mac: iOS 6 Scales the Number of Icon Rows Based On Available Resolution

The folks over at 9to5Mac were playing around a bit with the iOS Simulators and noticed that, when a few tweaks were made to force the Simulators to have more vertical pixels1, iOS 5 displayed a weird, more spaced out 4 row layout whereas iOS 6 introduced a new row if icons to fill in the space.

A taller iPhone is seeming more and more likely as time goes on.
